Food Safety Supervisor is a nationally recognised skillset comprising of the following two (2) Units of Competency. The skillset is only available to students eligible for JobTrainer Funding and is completely free-of-charge*.
SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety. This unit of competency is the entry-level unit of competency for food safety training within the hospitality sector.
SITXFSA002 Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices. This unit of competency describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to handle food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service and disposal of food. This unit is required along with SITXFSA001 to act as a Food Safety Supervisor in the ACT.
