Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitaion

The CPR Refresher course is ideal for healthcare professionals, workplace first aiders, and anyone needing to maintain their CPR certification. The course covers adult, child, and infant resuscitation methods, as well as the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Stay prepared and proficient with this vital, quick refresher.

Who is the course for?

Workplace first aiders, particularly those designated as first aid officers in industries with higher risks will benefit from this course. Fitness and sports instructors, including coaches, trainers, and gym staff responsible for the safety and well-being of their clients, find this training essential.

Teachers and childcare workers who need to ensure the safety of children under their supervision should also take this course. Parents and caregivers who want to be prepared for emergencies involving children or elderly family members can greatly benefit from the refresher.

Face-to-Face Course Duration: 2.5 hours.

About the Course

HLTAID009 describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

The CPR Refresher Course covers several key areas. Participants will review basic life support principles, including adult, child, and infant CPR techniques, and engage in hands-on practice of chest compressions and rescue breaths. The course also includes the operation and application of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), with safety precautions and practical exercises using training AEDs.

 

The Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, recommend that you refresh your resuscitation skills every 12 months.

Certification

You will receive an e-copy certificate to your nominated e-mail account. Hard-copy certificates can be purchased for a cost of $25. Please use the Contact Us feature to request a hard copy certificate.
