Industry Placement Program (IPP)
"I believe this program will be mutually beneficial, providing students with invaluable hands-on experience while offering partner businesses access to potential future employees who are well-trained and eager to contribute. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain."
Mark Field - Managing Director
What is the IPP?
The Industry Placement Program (IPP) is designed to create valuable work experience opportunities for international students studying with Access Recognised Training Australia in the 2025 calendar year. By participating in the IPP, employers gain access to a pool of freshly trained and motivated candidates, enhancing their recruitment efforts and supporting workforce development. The program ensures that students receive both practical, on-the-job training and comprehensive theoretical and practical instruction. Join the IPP today and invest in the future of your business and the overall Canberra hospitality and tourism industries.
What are the key features of the IPP
-
As an industry partner, you will host two or more students per year for one-week work experience placements in your kitchen. These placements are designed to provide students with practical skills in a real-world environment.
-
All participating students will have completed a four-week intensive job-ready program facilitated by Access Recognised Training Australia. The job-ready program will cover essential skills such as knife handling, food safety, personal hygiene, basic food preparation, equipment identification and usage, and WHS standards.
-
While there is no obligation to employ the students post-placement, industry partners are welcome to offer employment to those who successfully complete their work experience.
-
There are no recruitment charges or costs associated with being part of the Industry Placement Program. ACCESS will manage the placement process, ensuring a seamless integration of students into your workplace.
-
ACCESS will provide a dedicated work experience coordinator to liaise with industry partners, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during work experience activities.
-
The program will commence in the first term of the 2025 Academic Calendar.
