The course covers the application of first aid procedures, including performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), treating injuries and medical conditions, and effectively communicating and documenting the incident. This course includes the delivery of HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

It's recommended Provide First Aid is completed every three years. This is in line with the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: First Aid in the Workplace .
