Basic Food Safety Training

completed a food safety training course; or
-
adequate skills and knowledge in food safety and hygiene to do that activity correctly and keep food safe.
Course Duration
The online Basic Food Safety course takes approximately 3 hours to complete and is valid for 5 years. After five years you will required to re-do an approved food safety training program.
About the Course
The unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to use personal hygiene practices to prevent contamination of food that might cause food-borne illnesses. It requires the ability to follow predetermined organisational procedures and to identify and control food hazards.
